There are many verses and passages in the Bible that make many people uncomfortable, Christians and non-Christians alike. However, not all verses make us uncomfortable in the same way. While some verses disturb us because it seems horrific, others disturb us because it seems too good to be true. Jesus' words in John 15:7 fit the bill for the latter for most Christians: "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."
